| Based on technology used in the wool scouring industry, Petlon Polymers has developed a unique fibre washing plant that when used as part of our manufacturing process can produce high quality nylon regranulate products.

Petlon's Unique Fibre Washing Plant
The washing plant is designed to scour the nylon yarn waste being recovered from the surface treatments applied by the textile industry, as well as removing any other contaminants present in the yarn waste.
By removing surface treatments such as spin finishes and size there are a number of commercial benefits. Using the wash plant as the feeds system to one of Petlon's five extrusion lines it becomes possible to melt recover yarn waste that would otherwise be sent to landfill, this includes the recovery of wet yarn waste with up to 50% moisture.

Fibre Drying Facility
As a result of Petlon's process knowledge we are able to ensure all our customers get maximum return from their waste arisings. Through the use of Petlon's washing technology it becomes possible to produce nylon regranulate materials with a low volatile content that is suitable for use in higher value applications such as fibre spinning.
